Childcare Centre Logo Design: Pīwakawaka ELC Branding Project
Logo Design & Branding for Pīwakawaka Early Learning Centre
About the Client
When Pīwakawaka Early Learning Centre approached us, they were already an established name in early childhood education. But like every growing centre rooted in care and community, they knew it was time for a refreshed visual identity—one that truly captured their values and the warmth of their space.
The Challenge
Their existing branding lacked the emotional depth and cultural alignment that underpinned their values: Manaakitanga (care), Whanaungatanga (relationships), Kotahitanga (unity), Ako (learning), and Kaitiakitanga (guardianship). Our job was to bring this spirit to life in a timeless, nature-inspired brand.
The Process
We kicked off with discovery workshops to understand their vision and community. From there, our design team explored natural motifs, harmonious colour palettes, and soft yet confident typography.
The Outcome
The final logo reflects the spirit of belonging, cultural connection, and care. It resonates with both tamariki and their whānau. It’s more than a logo—it’s a symbol of the nurturing environment they provide every single day.

Why It Matters
A thoughtful, intentional brand helps reinforce trust, professionalism, and connection. For a childcare centre like Pīwakawaka, that emotional resonance is everything.
